Rules for the private pilot

The rules behind
the league rules.

The operating agreement for a commissioner-led test season: what Empire FFB provides, what the commissioner controls, and what every participant is responsible for.

01

Pilot status and eligibility

Empire FFB is pre-release software being tested with a limited group for one simulated or commissioner-managed fantasy football season. Features, workflows, scoring tools, availability, and stored pilot data may change as defects are found and the product is prepared for a broader release.

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these terms in your location. Participation is invitation-based. An invitation may be limited to the confirmed email address and league role selected by the commissioner and may not be transferred without commissioner approval.

02

Accounts and connected sign-in

  • Provide accurate account and team information.
  • Keep your password and connected-provider account secure.
  • Do not share sessions, invitation links, or access credentials.
  • Notify your commissioner promptly if access may be compromised.
  • Use the same confirmed email as the league invitation when signing in with Google, Apple, or Facebook.

Apple Hide My Email or a provider account with a different email may create a separate Empire FFB identity and require a new commissioner invitation. Connected sign-in availability depends on the provider and may be disabled during the pilot.

03

Commissioner authority

Each pilot league is operated by its commissioner. The commissioner manages invitations, roles, settings, draft configuration, schedule operations, scoring imports and corrections, waiver processing, season closure, and other league administration shown in the product.

League-specific rules, tie breakers, conduct expectations, and dispute decisions are set and enforced by the commissioner and league participants, not by an automated Empire FFB support team. Commissioner actions may be recorded in an audit history so the pilot can preserve an accountable league record.

04

Fair play and acceptable use

You may use the pilot only for its intended fantasy league purpose. You may not:

  • Impersonate another participant or evade an access restriction.
  • Manipulate drafts, claims, scores, trades, or audit records.
  • Probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service.
  • Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to other data.
  • Harass participants or post unlawful, hateful, deceptive, or infringing content.
  • Use the pilot to violate a provider’s terms or applicable law.

Access may be restricted or removed when reasonably necessary to protect the league, participants, service, or integrity of the pilot.

05

Fantasy data and scoring

Player, team, schedule, injury, projection, and scoring information may come from commissioner uploads, public sources, or third-party data providers. It may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. The pilot’s commissioner-verified season record—not a preview card or live projection—is authoritative for the pilot league.

Empire FFB is an independent fantasy football product. References to players, teams, leagues, or third-party marks belong to their respective owners and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

06

Buy-ins, pots, and payments

Empire FFB does not collect, hold, transfer, or pay out league funds during the private pilot.

The product may display buy-in and pot amounts or record a season outcome as a league ledger entry. Those entries do not move money and are not a bank, escrow, wallet, payment service, or guarantee of payment. Any off-platform financial arrangement is solely between league participants and must comply with their league rules and applicable law.

Do not enter card, bank, tax, or other financial-account credentials into Empire FFB fields.

07

Content and product rights

You retain ownership of original names, notes, logos, or other content you submit. You give Empire FFB a limited permission to host, display, copy, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the pilot. You are responsible for having the right to submit it.

The Empire FFB software, interface, visual system, and original branding may not be copied, sold, or commercially exploited without permission. Feedback may be used to improve the product without an obligation to implement or pay for it.

08

Availability and responsibility

The pilot is provided on an “as available” basis for evaluation. We will use reasonable care, but do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free scoring, permanent data retention, compatibility with every device, or that every planned feature will ship.

To the extent permitted by law, Empire FFB is not responsible for indirect losses, lost league funds, missed lineup decisions, provider outages, or disputes between league members arising from reliance on pilot software. These terms do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

09

Leaving the pilot and updates

You may stop using the pilot at any time. Contact your commissioner to leave a league, correct membership information, or begin account deletion. Some shared or de-identified league history may remain as described in the Privacy Policy and Account Deletion page.

These terms may be updated as the pilot changes. A new update date will be posted here, and material changes will be communicated through a reasonable pilot channel before they apply where notice is required. Questions should go to the commissioner who invited you through the league’s established communication channel; there is no public Empire FFB support inbox today.
